Message from the Principal

It has been a fantastic term. Balmacewen students have excelled in so many areas. I am inspired by the way our students work together and strive to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Effort, attitude, teamwork and commitment have been at the forefront of some excellent achievements this term. The skills and knowledge that our students develop are clearly evident when I look at classroom displays and Aspire projects. The ability to ask questions,  gather and use relevant information and to present new thinking are skills that will enable students to be independent, self directed learners. These skills are transferrable to many settings and are the foundations to further growth. It is great to see the variety and creativity of our students on display.

Next term will see the first of stage of our building project begin. It will mean a little bit of "musical classrooms", as we shift classes out of the construction areas. The first block to be affected will be Rooms 9, 10, 11.

Thank you to our hard working staff for their excellent efforts over this busy term. I hope everyone enjoys a restful two week break and returns refreshed and recharged for the final term.

As always, if I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to call.

Kind Regards

Andrew Hunter
