RUGBY (15s)

Rugby 15's at Balmacewen is not played in weekly local competitions. Rugby is only played at Balmacewen through Inter-school exchange fixtures. 

 

INTERSCHOOL RUGBY  (Terms 2 & 3)

(Exchange Fixtures) 

Team Selection; Trials will be carried out for our 1st XV Team who plays in the exchange fixtures. Therefore, all students have an equal opportunity to put there best foot forward to earn selection for each match.  

 

Matches; Term 2 & 3 Games

Subs for Inter-School fixtures will differ each match, depending if it is an away fixture or home fixture.

GIRLS RUGBY (10s)

Our Girls 10 a-side rugby competition runs during Term 3. 

 

All Games kick off; 4pm.

Referees and touch judges; Are provided by Otago Rugby

Trainings; Are held during lunchtimes at school

Equipment; Boots & Mouth Guards are compulsory

RUGBY (7s)

Each year we enter boys and girls rugby 7s teams into the annual Otago Rugby Sassenachs 7s Tournament in Term 3. 

Team Selection; Trials will be carried out for our 7s Teams during term 3. Therefore, all students have an equal opportunity to put there best foot forward to earn selection.
