Both year groups are making their first project of a designer stirrer.
Using wood to create a functional stirrer for kitchen use, the students researched, planned and created their own stirrer. Using tools such as saw, file, chisel, to create the shape they designed, and poker burnt or carved their decorations on it, and finished it off with tung oil. Every one was unique and creative. The Year 7 booklet which includes their report was sent home on Wednesday, and the Year 8's are continuing on with their purerehua (bull roarer / musical instrument) and their books will come home early Term 2.
