Covid Vaccinations and school

You will no doubt be aware that the recently released Health Order has some implications for schools.
From November 15 all staff, volunteers, contractors, coaches, parent helpers and tutors are required to have at least one vaccination dose. By 1 January the requirement is to be fully vaccinated.
We have a number of end of year outdoor education trips planned in the coming weeks. You may note on the trip information notices there is a place for parent helpers to confirm their vaccination status. Thanks in advance if you are willing to help on these trips. We are also required to verify your status and to do this you will need to either email a screenshot to office@balmacewen.school.nz or come into the school office so your record can be sighted. You will only need to do this once as your verification record will be held on a school based parent-help register to enable you to be involved in other activities during your time at Balmacewen.
