Christmas Greetings!

It's been a year like no other! Global pandemic, lock downs and a new appreciation of what matters most.

Kia ora koutou katoa, ngā mihi mahana!

It really does seem a long time ago since we were faced with the unprecedented world event that was Covid-19.The changes we made as a country and the uncertainty we faced as we looked into the future was both unique and challenging.

It's been a true sign of resilience and perseverance that Balmacewen has bounced back so strongly in the second part of 2020. Apart from missing out on some camps, our programmes haven returned to normal and it has been great to see the positive energy and high levels of engagement from our students.

The success of our school is a team effort. My thanks go to staff, Board, students and you, our parent community, for making our school such a great place to live and learn. It is very much appreciated. Ka rawe e te whanau!

I look forward to seeing you at the Regent Theatre on Thursday at 6pm to help celebrate and acknowledge achievement from this year. A special and fun way to finish out the year.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. I hope you all manage some quality rest and relaxation with family and friends!

Ngā mihi nui

Andrew
