Araiteuru Marae Visit

What a wonderful day Room 1, 25 & 26 had at our local marae today.

Our syndicate were fortunate enough to attend our local marae today and enjoy a variety of maori activities.

We began the morning with a Powhiri and it was really good to see the students following correct protocol and participating fully in all of the activities.  Our waiata was exceptional and tutors and staff commented about how polished our singing was.

Some of the activities we were able to enjoy today were flax weaving (harakeke), maori stories, matariki and taiaha/rako games.

Such a wonderful experience for all involved and a memorable day for all I am sure!!!!  Check out some of the pictures from today.
