O'Mathalon Success!

On 20 August the Otago O’Mathalon was held at the Edgar Centre with approximately 40 teams competing in each year level. This event involves teams of 4 competing to solve maths problems and then racing the answers to their markers.

Our Balmacewen teams competed with great success again, retaining both the Year 7 and Year 8 trophies. Both these teams finished all questions well before the end of the competition to gain the maximum 60 points. We also gained 2nd and 4th in the Year 7 competition, and 3rd and 7th in the year 8 competition.
