Table Tennis

Table Tennis Otago ran a wonderful 7 week competition for Year 7 and 8 students at Kaikorai Valley College on a Thursday from 3:45 -
5pm.
Our keen group of Balmacewen players represented themselves extremely well. They were competitive in their grades and all students made pleasing progress throughout the short season.
It was great to see students enjoying a new game and learning from those who had played before. Some Otago players were often there, happy to share their knowledge and love of the game.
The students also developed their understanding of the rules as they all had to officiate. I know these skills have come in handy at our break time table tennis games at school.
A special thank you to the Balmacewen students who filled in when others couldn't make their game. We are proud of all of our Table Tennis players. You demonstrated our PERK values and I enjoyed watching your games.
It would be wonderful to see more students give Table Tennis a go in 2026.
Otago Table Tennis also run practice sessions at the Edgar Centre every Sunday from 10am -12pm for anyone who would like to get better. Find out more at otta.org.nz
