Waste to Taste!

This term some of our Year 7 classes are doing a new PBL unit called Waste to Taste and looking at food wastage reduction and philanthropy.

As part of this PBL we will be looking at our local community and what they are doing to reduce wastage in our local cafes, restaurants, bakeries and in our own backyards. Our plan is to use fruit and vegetables that otherwise may not get sold or used and make pickles, chutneys, jams, soup, citrus wheels, fruit leather etc that we will then donate back to community organisations.

We are looking for any donations of the following:

JARS- with lids
Plastic containers- with lids
Any produce from your trees or garden that we could use in this PBL project.

Jars, containers and produce can be dropped to Room 10 in the Back Block over the next three weeks. Thank you so much for your support.
