Thank you Rosie!

Former pupil at Balmacewen, Rosie, recently completed her first year at the University of Canterbury, where she is studying a conjoint degree in Engineering and Sport. Following her sporting successes she was chosen as a Tania Dalton Foundation scholarship recipient. As part of this, she had an exciting opportunity to give back to her community.
The Tania Dalton Foundation was created to positively impact the lives of young New Zealand female athletes in honour of Tania’s legacy. As part of this scholarship, Rosie has been involved in the Pass It Forward programme, in partnership with Rebel Sport and Silver Fern Sport. For every Pass It Forward ball sold at Rebel Sport, an identical ball is donated to give to schools. We are very grateful that Rosie has chosen Balmacewen as one of the schools to support.
Rosie visited our school and gave a short 15–20 minute presentation, sharing: an overview of the Tania Dalton Foundation, a little about her sporting journey, and information about the Pass It Forward programme. Following this, she kindly donated a selection of balls to our school for use in PE and sports programmes.
