Touch

Balmacewen has 7 teams entered in the Oval Junior Module this term.

The Tornadoes, Cyclones and Thunder are playing in the newly named Y7-8 Elite grade. The Lions are playing in the Girls Elite Grade.  The Hurricanes in the mixed grade. The Pumas in the girls development, and the Lightning in the Y7-8 Development grade.

We have a group of Y7&8 students who are part of a wider group of students from Tahuna, Balmacewen and JMC who are giving back to the touch community by refereeing the Y1-6 on the Thursday in the earlier rounds. This is awesome to see and a privilege to work with them.

Recently we had the Balmac Tornadoes compete in the competition held at Kings for Year 8 Boys, run by the PE Students.  They had a lot of fun, learning and only lost the final to Tahuna in a drop off. Thanks Miss Smart for all the extra time you put into coaching these boys. They had a great time and really appreciate your hard mahi and devotion.

A huge thank you to the teachers and parents and some former students for giving up their time to coach, manage and referee these players. Without you we couldn't be out there in the sun playing the game.
