2026 at Balmacewen Intermediate School

School starts this Wednesday 28th January.

Students should know their class (this was emailed on Friday.) Students should make their way directly to their class where they will be greeted by their teacher on Wednesday morning. We will have teachers and student leaders around school to help with directions.

School starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.00pm. Please be mindful of traffic at the main entrance to school. Kaikorai rugby car park is a good drop off and pick up space as students can walk up the path and into school.

Last year's Year 7's are ready to take on their new roles as year 8's and leaders in our school this year. Our year 7's are set to begin their Intermediate school journey. Our teachers and staff are excited for a new year of learning and adventure at our school.

Term 1 begins with lots of orientation activities, meet the teacher evening, swimming lessons and year 7 school camps.

There will be lots of notices coming home and all teachers will be in contact via email with their student's whanau.
