Netball

Year 7 Swifts Netball team.

This year our team had a good season getting to know each other and learning how we could work together. We enjoyed putting the things Ms Peacock taught us in practice into games. In our final two games of the season, our hard work paid off, with a good win against Columba in the interschool competition and against Trinity College in our final game. We finished third in the local Year 7 A grade competition. We had a lot of fun and look forward to next year.

Balmacewen Vixens Netball

We started the season well in Term 2, with many wins against other schools like Tahuna, St Hilda's, and various others. We did have to go against the Southland girls in the exchange, and we sadly lost. But most of our team had previously played a sport for our school, so we weren't at our full force. Then came the 2-week gap, which definitely messed us up a bit for our gameplay. We definitely did improve when it was time to vs Columba, whom we had previously played against 5 times before; this time we did lose. After that it was our final game vs Trinity boys, whom we had avoided playing earlier in the term but we ended up playing an amazing game that we won!

Firebirds Netball season

What an amazing netball season it has been! Representing Balmac this season has been so much fun, and I’m so proud of everything our team has achieved. We finished the season on a high by winning our last game and coming first in our grade! We won almost all of our games, which shows how much hard work, teamwork and determination we put in throughout the season. Every game we supported each other, worked together and gave it our all on the court. I’m so proud of our team and so grateful for all the amazing memories, laughs and moments we shared along the way. It has been such a successful season for Balmac, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to share it with!

Fever Netball team

This netball season has been such a special one, especially because it’s our last year at Intermediate. From all the games and training to the laughs, challenges and memories we’ve made with our friends, it’s been such a fun season to look back on. We were so proud to finish 3rd place in our grade, and I’m so grateful for all the friendships and amazing memories I’ve made along the way. I’ll definitely miss playing netball at Balmac with all my friends.
