As a Year 8 team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all whānau and friends for your ongoing support throughout the 2025 school year.

Your involvement has been invaluable in helping us create a rich, diverse, and engaging learning environment for our students.

This year, we’ve seen remarkable growth in our young people. Whether it’s strengthening teamwork, showing greater independence, or stepping confidently into new challenges, our students have risen to every opportunity. Their commitment to living our school values has laid a strong foundation for future success, and we are confident it will support them well as they transition into high school next year.

Term 4 has been full of excitement! Our Syndicate Day Out was a standout highlight—Unipol proved to be an amazing venue, offering a wide range of leisure activities the students thoroughly enjoyed. Today, the Year 8 Touch Tournament wrapped up with students demonstrating fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship. We’ve also been gearing up for the Year 8 Social with a lively social dancing unit, and the students are now ready to hit the dance floor! Next week, classes will be putting the finishing touches on their lip sync performances, which will be showcased to the school in the final week of term. It’s been a fun, energetic, and memorable way to close out the year.

It has been a pleasure watching our students embrace both classroom learning and extracurricular opportunities with such enthusiasm. Their positivity, resilience, and willingness to get involved will serve them well as they move on to high school, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve in the years ahead.

We wish you and your whānau a joyful, restful holiday season and all the very best for 2026.

Kā mihi nui,

The Year 8 Team
