School Council Wrap - Term 4:

This term the School Council have continued to serve both our school and community. Recently they ran a non-uniform day and sold juicies to raise funds for 2 very important charities.

Sustainable Coastlines is a non-profit making organisation that develops technologies to remove plastic already in oceans. They are also constantly working on ways to stop new plastics from entering our oceans.

Dog Rescue Dunedin is a charitable trust that take care of abandoned, neglected or injured dogs. They give them the medical treatment they may require and re-home many dogs to new, loving forever homes.

Over the year the School Council has also been saving money to help with projects around the school. This year the money raised is going towards fixing our school playground (climbing wall and flying fox) as well as building a new Gaga Ball Pit for students to use next year. They have also purchased new badminton equipment for classes to use next year in PE sessions.

I would like to thank the councillors for their hard work and commitment over the year. They have been a diligent and helpful group of students to work with who have grown in confidence and led by example in all they do.

Have a well deserved break team and all the best for next year.
