Year 7 Fabric Technologists

More marvellous cushions and inners have been sent home for their chosen stakeholder this term and more are under construction.
Hopefully, you have had the opportunity to celebrate your child's first outcome made in our fabrics classroom.
All students have developed their understanding of the term 'fit for purpose'. They stuffed their inners with comfort in mind and carried out a test before sewing them closed. We use a combination of polyfill and our fabric offcuts and functional modelling pieces to reduce our waste.
Our Year 7 Äkonga were happy with their fabirc choices for their cushion covers and they know they will wash and wear well because these are properties of cotton.
Keep a look out for more fabulous and functional cushions - they will be completed in the next couple of weeks.
