2027 School uniform.

Balmacewen has updated our school uniform. This has been phased out over 2026 and by 2027 all students will be expected to be wearing the new uniform.

All students will wear a unisex polo that is navy and has the school logo. We will also have a new skirt in the 'macewen' tartan (which replaces the kilt) and navy shorts. All students will wear the new socks (black with red trim) and the navy quarter zip merino.

All students wear black lace up shoes, see images below.

PE gear, hoodies, shoes and school jacket all remain the same.

Next year; All students are expected to be in the new school uniform. NO students should be wearing the old uniforms.

Jewellery, Makeup and Hair:

One plain stud earring may be worn in each ear. Multiple piercings are not permitted. Wearing of other jewellery is not permitted. Makeup and nail polish is not permitted.

Hair is to be of natural colour. Long hair (over shoulder length) should be tied up. Hair ties and clips should be black or brown. Scrunchies and headbands are not permitted.

If you have a significant piece of jewellery or a pounamu your child would like to wear, please enquire with your child's teacher in the first instance.
