SPLASH!

Room 8 has been hitting Moana Pool for some 'Swimsation' swimming lessons.

Over the last few Tuesdays, Room 8 have been walking to and from Moana Pool with Room 7 to participate in Moana’s Pool Swimsation Programme. Each class has half an hour in the lap pool learning different strokes, whilst the class that isn’t in the lesson has half an hour of free time which usually includes playing in wave pool, relaxing in Lazy River or trying some tricks on the diving boards.

The lessons are divided into three groups ability-wise. Each group has their own lane, but have been learning similar strokes. The strokes that Room 8 have been learning are: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke (on back and stomach). Hopefully, Room 8 will come out of the Swimsation programme with some better swimming techniques.

Fun Fact: There are 93 steps up Pacific Street.
