Police PCT Challenge

Last Friday five teams from our school took on the Police Physical Competency Challenge at the Edgar Centre .

Teams of four students - one Year 7 girl/boy and one Year 8 girl/boy per team took part in the annual Blue Light Police PCT challenge at the Edgar centre. As a team they had to work together to complete the challenges racing the clock for the fastest time of the day. The challenge involved pushing a trailer, running 200m, jumping over fences, under obstacles, through a "window" over walls and fences as fast as they could. We went to the second session of the day and found out that Tahuna held the record of the day from the first session with a time of 2.46 minutes.

Each team competed and Team Three came within one second of taking over the lead. Our Team  Two then beat the time by two seconds setting a new record of 2.44 seconds. The final run of the day was from our Team One of Isaac, Jess, Luke and Gemma who pushed themselves right to the end up, over and around the course finishing with an outstanding time of 2.33 seconds to take out first place. Well done to all our teams who competed with final placings of first, second, fourth  in the top six times of the day.
