Cyclone Winston Appeal

The Balmacewen School Council have recently made a donation to help the victims of Cyclone Winston in Fiji.

The Balmacewen Intermediate School Council recently made a donation of $550 to support the Cyclone Winston appeal in Fiji. We had a mufti day at school last term to fundraise money to help with this cause.

We have people in our school whose families were directly affected by this devastating event. We think it is really important to show our support in some way and we know Red Cross are a good organisation who will do as much as they can to help the people of Fiji.

We really wanted to help make a difference and hope the money is used to put towards rebuilding schools or homes, or providing clean water or food for those in need.

On behalf of the School Council Ryan and Sam in Room 6 visited the Red Cross personally and delivered the cheque. The Red Cross were very grateful for our donation and would like to thank everyone who took part in the mufti day.
