Otago Primary Schools Netball Tournament

Yellow and Gold Netball teams represent Balmacewen Intermediate at Otago Primary Schools Netball Tournament. 

On the 31st August the Yellow and Gold Netball teams competed in the Otago Primary Schools Netball Tournament at the Edgar Centre. There were a number of teams from Dunedin, North Otago and Central Otago competing.  The theme of the tournament was Superheroes. 

The Yellow team placed third overall in the Year 7 section after losing to Mt Aspiring in the semi final. They later took on Tahuna in the play off for 3rd and 4th and won 11 - 3. 

The Gold team won the year 8 section, winning 16 -7 in the final against Taieri.

Well done to all players from both teams for a great end to the netball season. Thank you also to Michael and Brooke who were our umpires for the day and a special congratulations to Michael who was awarded the Year 7 final.
