She fingered the wet ground.

She was no detective,

But she knew exactly what had happened.

No one was listening to her.

If they gave her 10 minutes,

She could explain everything.

How the rivalry had got out of hand.

How it was not an unexplained death,

How her best friend had died.

How he was halfway to the other side of the world by now.

How they were too late.

How she had watched it all from behind a tree,

With tears streaming down her face.
