Another action packed story from Room 3.  Written by Oliver Richards

Without thinking, Tom dived forwards and grabbed the guard's knife arm. The knife clattered to the ground. Tom pinned the Guard up against the cave wall. There was a yell behind him and Tom felt himself being pulled backwards. Strong fingers were digging into his flesh. Tom dropped to one knee, lunged back with the metal bar. But it was too late. The room flooded with light. A harsh voice barked out a command...

Tom opened his eyes he was in a concrete box with water at his toes. He pulled at the rusty chains frustratingly. His wrist bleed as the chain loosened. The water flooded the dark box. It reached his ankles. Clank! The chain snapped and Tom without a thought ran to the door.

He turned the door handle frantically but nothing. It was locked. The water reached his knees. Tom nervously searched the small room with his bloodshot eyes. Nothing, all that was in the room was the chair that he was chained too. He pick up the chair and bashed it against the door with all his power continuously. The freezing water reached his waist. Suddenly the chair broke into pieces.

Tom was now floating in the water. He bashed his fists against the door. Blood poured from his knuckles. The chilling liquid rose to the ceiling leaving Tom breathless. Still with all the hope that sat in his soul he bashed at the door.

When all seemed over a paper clip gracefully floated in front of Tom's face. Tom rapidly swam like a dolphin to the door he bent the paper clip and picked at the lock. Toms lunges burning and his face purple. Click! The door slammed open and Tom flew out with the water that glimmered in the flickering torch light.

His eyes open to find himself in the middle of a short cave with shallow water. There were two tunnels left or right one lit by torch light with the sound of running water and one more narrow and dark. Toms mind corrupted with decisions. He was so distracted that he didn't notice the man creeping up on him.

Click! Cold metal was force to the back of his head, a gun. I really wish I took those self defence class thought Tom. "Walk" said a trembling voice. Tom walked forward to the wall of the cave. The wet cave rock dug into his belly. "T t turn around" stuttered the man. Tom slowly turned around to find a boy around 14 years old with blond hair, blue eyes and lots of freckles.

"Who are you?" asked the boy in a more nervous tone. "My name is Tom" he said " I'm was taken here by some people while I was exploring a cave." The boy put the gun away. "Same here" said the boy "My name is Jacob." Tom walked through the sand and shook Jacobs hand. "Nice to meet you Jacob" he said.

"Which cave should we go down?" asked Tom. "Well I've already try the lit one so the dark scary narrow one it is" said Jacob nervously. So the two boys entered the cave. After a half hour walk in pitch black darkness, Tom and Jacob squinted as the light suddenly hit them when they turned the rocky corner. The narrow cave opened into a large majestic cave filled with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, topaz everything!

Liquid constantly divided down from the spikes above. Tom wiped his face as the water had made contact with his face. But what he didn't comprehend was that the water wasn't water for as he look at his finger the "water" was red, blood. All of a sudden something hit Tom on the head and it pounced onto the ground. Jacob bent down and glared at it, it was a finger. Tom gazed at the ceiling so did Jacob. Toms eye pupils shrunk his mouth widened. Smack! Jacob's hands swung onto Tom's mouth...

Children multiple stabbed into the spikes with there feet and hand chained to the solid roof of rock. Tom started to cry.

The streams of watered continued down Tom's face as they continued walking through the cave in silence. Tom sat down on a large, flat rock. His eyes with the same picture of the body's. Jacob sat down next to him. "Don't worry Tom those kids were unlucky" said Jacob, "You're going to make it out of here, alive!" That gave Tom the courage to stand up and stride through the gloomy cave with no fear.

Whip! A metal object smashed into a nearby rock, sending midget shards of stone through the dense air. Next came a wave of the metal objects and loud bangs. Tom came to realise what he was up against. Men 4 of them with all kinds of guns Uzis, Ak74us and STG44s.

Jacob tossed a M1911 pistol to Tom. "There's six shots" he said. Jacob put his head and pistol around the corner of the rock and took some shots. " We've got a man down!" yelled a man around the corner. Tom hastily poked his head around the corner to see 3 men and 1 dropped dead, and behind them was the gleaming light of the sun and the blissful sound of waves crashing against the sand.

Again Jacob took some shots around the corner but this time Jacob wasn't so lucky. Bang! Bang! Jacobs pistol crashed to the ground. Blood spilled from his forehead. Thump! Jacob fell into the cave sand.

Toms face went red and a tear spilled from his eye, or though he didn't really know him he did so much for him. Tom divided to Jacobs dead body and picked up his pistol. He turned the corner and held down the trigger. Bang! Bang! Bang! The 3 men dropped to the ground.

Tom ran over to Jacob, dead. Beams of light spilled through the exit of the cave. Tom slowly walked to the exit. His toes sunk into the soft, yellow sand and the water of the ocean cleansed his bloody feet. Time to go home Tom thought as he stared into the sea.
